“Catching them young”

Why American teachers are all Leftist.
‘Fascists’ are Socialists, Benito Mussolini was a disillusioned Socialist when he created Facism.
Which is named after the Roman symbol ‘fasces’, which originally appeared in the Greek colony of Crete.
It symbolized ‘collectivism’.

Discussion with GROK;-

“Whom was Benito Mussolini’s education advisor that determined that fascism starts in the classroom?”

The education advisor (and key figure) who shaped Benito Mussolini’s fascist education policies—effectively determining that fascism must start in the classroom through indoctrination of youth—was Giovanni Gentile.
Gentile, a philosopher often called the “philosopher of fascism” by Mussolini himself, served as Mussolini’s Minister of Public Education from late 1922 to 1924. In that role, he implemented the Gentile Reform (Riforma Gentile) of 1923, which Mussolini described as the “most Fascist reform.” This sweeping overhaul restructured Italy’s school system to prioritize fascist ideals: emphasizing nationalism, discipline, loyalty to the state over individualism, mandatory religious (Catholic) instruction in elementary levels to align with fascist values, and a curriculum designed to mold a new elite generation supportive of the regime. The reform centralized control, glorified the state, reduced access to certain fields for broader masses, and explicitly aimed to indoctrinate youth so that fascist principles would permeate society from an early age.
While no verbatim quote from Gentile (or Mussolini) states “fascism starts in the classroom” in those exact words, the sentiment directly aligns with fascist policy and rhetoric. Mussolini himself reinforced this in speeches, such as his 1925 address demanding that schools be “inspired by the ideals of Fascism” at all levels, ensuring youth be educated to “comprehend Fascism” and its aims—making education the foundational tool for building the fascist state. Gentile’s reforms and writings (including his contributions to “The Doctrine of Fascism”) provided the intellectual and structural basis for viewing the classroom as the starting point for fascist indoctrination and societal transformation.
Later ministers like Giuseppe Bottai (who issued the 1939 School Charter) built on this, but Gentile was the primary architect under Mussolini who “determined” this approach in the regime’s early, formative years.

“Lolo Pass”

Between Montana and Idaho.

We went on a scoot ride last summer through the Lolo pass of the Bitterroot range. Ele. 5233 ft

As we crossed into Idaho, at the summit of the pass, we were coming around a turn at 50 MPH, and in the right ditch we saw this. A Mama moose and a set of twin calves, scared the crap out of us and the Moose.

I was digging through video of the ride and I pulled these pictures out.

“FAFO Parenting”

I was an FAFO parent before it was cool.
My children rarely tested it.
If the line was pushed, it was usually The Prodigal. My daughters were intelligent enough to learn by their brother’s example. The four of them have grown into contributing members of society.

I was the fun, silly, happy go lucky Dad. Although I had rules;
They couldn’t talk back or get snarky with me.
When ‘serious Dad’ said ‘No’, don’t ask again.
When I said ‘don’t do it’, you proceeded at your own peril, because there would swift immediate consequences.

An incident comes to mind with The Prodigal. He was about 6 or 7. He had a favorite toy, a plastic samurai sword and scabbard.
He slept with it, he couldn’t go anywhere without it. He was a ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’.
At the time we had adopted a stray cat, or basically she adopted us. We found her with a litter of kittens in a basement window well. Once we gave away or got rid of that litter, she immediately got knocked up again. The...
