I make fun of Marines.
Only because I love the USMC.
I lived within the sound of the ‘Ranges’ of Quantico MCB.
We could hear the sounds of Machine guns, motars, and artillery.
We called it ‘The sound of Freedom’.
I was a BSA leader for 12 years, almost all of my co-leaders were USMC Officers.
Therefore I’ve nothing but respect for those men.
That being said…
I’ve been asked multiple times;
“Were you a Marine?”
“No, I know whom my parents are, they weren’t siblings, they were actually married, and I graduated from High school’. Therefore I didn’t qualify to be a Marine.”
