Look at this spooky picture I found on my phone . From the Funny Bone in St. Charles, MO. I take the iPhone up on stage with me so I can time my set. It must’ve snapped a picture while I pulled it out of my pocket to put it on the stool. It’s evocative of something- this is not dissimilar to what I see when I’m performing- it’s a little blurrier here in the pic, but with the lights shining on me in the dark room, I see mostly forms and not faces- I have to judge the mood for the show by the sound of the audience.
This is the gag that I've been doing at the end of my show- it's different every time because I'm working it with local guys. But these guys had to be the best so far- with no rehearsal they pulled off the "heckling barbershoppers" routine. And their singing was great too. Have a look.
Was at your show last afternoon in Sugar Land with Greg. Fantastic, loved your performance and others and Greg's part was great with the slide show and the history. Your routine about the old commercials and how the people our age survived all of that era. It reminded me, being a "parrot head" of one of Jimmy's songs that is about "we are the people are parents warned us about". Truly enjoyed the afternoon, Thanks and keep up the good work.
