My ever lovely wife and I had our colonoscopies performed by a local doctor here in GA.
Unfortunately for him, he sometime in the past, sold his practice to a conglomerate named ‘United Digestive’.
Why do I say ‘unfortunately’? Because we now need to find a new physician for any future ‘digestive’ testing, or care.
The care and work of the physician was just fine
It’s the billing we have issues with.
They over charged my wife by approximately $319.00, normally, they would just refund the amount to the credit card, or sometimes they send a check.
No, no they didn’t.
They sent her an email with a link to an ‘electronic gift card’ that had been loaded with the $319.00.
All she had to do was follow the link and download the card.
It’s accepted everywhere!
No, she did not.
Following the link and accepting the card would constitute a refund.
Therefore my beautiful bride spent an hour on the phone attempting to get a human that could refund OUR money to the card ‘THEY ...

I was patrolling a suburban area on the eastern side of US RT 1 (The One for you Californians).
George’s Place, you know, the little farm of the first President, is in the area.

It was around 02:00 hours when I received a call for a possible ‘break-in’ at an elementary school.
These were usually BS, wind rattled a window, some kid ‘egged’ the building, but it was rare to have an actual ‘B&E’ with an alarm.
This school was in a wealthy bucolic neighborhood along the Potomac River, it was bordered by the southern brick wall of Mt Vernon Plantation.
I was thinking it would probably be a nice walk around the school, then I’ll catch up on paperwork in the parking lot, just in case. No fuss, no muss…
I pulled up beside another ‘LTD Crown Vic’, except this one was white, and it had yellow lights.
